VeriFone’s SC 5000 PIN pad packs peak performance and versatility into a sleek device that fits comfortably in the palm of your hand. This programmable PIN pad has the flexibility to support EMV smart c ard transactions, debit, electronic benefits transfer (EBT), and s t ored value transactions. The SC 5000 is PCI approved and offers a range of security protections including tamperdetection circuitry, VeriShield file authentication, and sophistic at ed encryption. And, VeriShield allows the development of virtually any k ey-management scheme.

The RoHS-compliant SC 5000 features a user-friendly design with large keys that minimize user input errors. Its easy-tor ead display is capable of handling a variety of images, including mer chant l ogos and graphics-based character sets.

In addition, with an EMV Level 2 Type Approved application av ailabl e, the SC 5000 smart c ard PIN pad provides the fastest, easiest way to upgrade terminals or electronic cash r egis t er s t o support gl obal smart card solutions based on EMV specifications.
